Echinodorus ‘ozelot’ is a colorful plant perfect for mid- or background. The leaves on these plants are large, ovoid, and have hardy veins and black spots. The leaves have wavy edges and colorful spots. Colors on Echinodorus ozelot plants range from red, pink, and gold to green or dark green. Echinodorus ‘ozelot’ can grow emersed or submerged, with emersed plants sometimes producing small white flowers above the surface. The plant need good, nutrient-rich soil in order to thrive. CO2 injection is not necessary for these plants. Moderate light will keep the plant sprouting new leaves weekly, but the plant will do fine under a range of lighting conditions. The plant propagates through side shoots that grow off of leaves.
