Rotala rotundifolia ‘Hi red’ is characterized by its long, delicate stems with thin, round leaves shooting out from the sides of the stems. In the presence of high iron and Plant Food fertilizer, this stem plant can develop a bright red coloration. It grows relatively quickly. It can add some nice contrast to the usual green plants in the background. When planted in groups, it creates a dazzling effect in your aquascape as a thick red bush. Propagation is like any other stem plant, simply cut anywhere along the stem and replace.
