Description
Rotala rotundifolia ’Assam’ from India has tender lime green oval broad leaves and 10-15 long stems, 2-3 cm wide including the leaves it’s in its emerged form, commonly known as Small mint ‘Assam’. Rotala rotundifolia “Assam” is an excellent background plant, but to get the desirable bushy growth, you must provide high lighting and nutrient levels. Additional CO2 injection is good growth. The plant can be grown submersed or emersed. Propagation can be achieved by taking cuttings from the main stem of the plant that are replanted into the substrate.
