Description
The stems of Myriophyllum aquaticum exhibit feather like characteristics which are more pronounced when grown emersed. So it is commonly called Parrot’s feather. This is a perennial plant which can be grown both submerged and emerged. The emergent stems and leaves are the most distinctive trait of parrot feather, as they can grow up to a foot above the water surface and look almost like small fir trees.
